Pale straw with bright grapefruit, pear and citrus characters with hints of meadow flowers, crème fraîche, a light dusting of ginger spice, crushed stone and lime zest. This wine is sourced from a single-site, organically farmed vineyard in Marananga, planted in the gully of the hillside on the edge of the district. The block sits on a south-east–facing slope, rooted in red and brown clay soils intertwined with veins of pink quartz. Fruit was harvested in the early morning to preserve freshness and aromatic purity. Stainless steel tank ferment, with the skins held in the press for several hours, contributing additional texture, structure, and mouthfeel. The wine was matured on full fermentation lees, split equally between clay amphora and stainless steel, enhancing complexity, weight, and subtle savoury elements.
