Deeply concentrated with the most pure black and dark plum fruits. I really like how this release just leans to the side of savoury on the finish. Layers and layers of spice, clove, dried citrus rind, black fruit conserve, blackstrap licorice, dark chocolate, turned earth, fruitcake and brandied fruits. Fruit depth, fine, pillowy tannins and a real sense of latent power; it's a great western Barossa release. - 95 points, David Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
