Bright crimson red. Brings a sense of power and aromatic prettiness tothe glass with its lifted scents of rose petal, pressed flowers, red berriesand savoury influenced smoked meaty notes. The palate abides by the mix of dark berries, earth and spice. Complex and inviting, with somestrong ageing yet to be achieved. - 95 Points, Andrew Caillard MW - The Vintage Journal
Sourced from a single block of Grenache vines located on an East facing slope at Moppa which lies at the northern most tip of the Barossa Valley’s western edge. The undulating landscape is rich with ancient stone and red/ brown loams, mirroring the profile and geological diversity of our own vineyards at Marananga and Seppeltsfield. The thin brown loam top soils lie over a seam of ancient marble and ironstone, producing low yields of small berried Grenache.
